WOC2day Campaign: COMMENTS and PICS FROM THE FIELD! Tuesday Dec 6

The Transparency Fiji team made up of YFI, CRID and MYF volunteers have been walking from Nayavu to raise awareness on integrity and anti corruption issues. Abel Lalagavesi told me by phone that they have been stopped by passers by on the road and they have explained the reason for their walk and the importance of the public understanding anti corruption issues.
Able wrote, "We woke up at 4am and started walking. Now we in Nasautoka ready for breakfast. The weather is a bit cold and I didn't bring any warm clothes😂 I decided to wear vest instead 😊🔫 Starting to feel body pain and feeling very very weak. But what good is a challenge walk without having this challenges. #sickbutstillgoingstrong. While walking you can still see people living in tents and damaged homes. #WOC2day. Any who I will be having a lot of late post cos Digicel sadly doesn't catch in Tailevu #nothingnew 😂
For this entry on his timeline Abel received over 60 likes and 2 shares. Some of the comments from well wishers and jokers trying to cheer him were as follows:
Lavenia Lalagavesi Have a bless day son ....take care and look after yourself ..love to your walking members. .
Sahil Sharma why didn't you bring any warm clothes?... oh wait .... that's what happens when you're leaving at 8 but start packing at 7.30 for a 1 week trip .... k bye 😂😂😂....

Joeli Billy Fahai'ono Keep up the good work comrades! 😀

Mili, Ana and Koila looking like Fijiana players on "the road to Damascus!!"

Ana Erenaivalu writes , "We are on our way to Nasautoka Village and then to  Dakuivuna Village. Ana adds, "I am walking so that people living with disabilities can get more excess to opportunities and full realization of their rights under the UNCAC. Also the misinterpretation of anti corruption laws and policies"

Earlier in the day Jone Siqila told me that they were waiting for the bus which would bring over their reflective vests which have been donated by Goodman Fielder. I had also rung Rusula in the TF Office who had delivered the vests to the bus going to Delaivuna.
Jofiliti Veikoso wrote, “We have safely reached Nasautoka Village.

Marika Susu commented " I am walking to eradicate corruption by educating our fathers to be honest and take the lead in fighting corruption so that their children will practice whatever values of integrity instilled to them"
